can i do workouts if i have shoulder pain?

i am 16 now.i have been carrying extremely heavy school bags since i was 12.this has created a bad shoulder pain which is very awful.if i remain in some position for a minute or two my shoulder and neck pain terribly.can i get rid of this.and most importantly can i do workouts in gym

Are you using double straps for your book bag or carrying on a single shoulder? Use double straps and reduce the stress on the shoulder. Your entire body will be taking the weight. I would rest the shoulder for a week. You could do cardio and gently stretch the area, work on other body parts in terms of weight training but leave the shoulder alone. If it's not better then talk to your doctor. Shoulder issues can get very serious very quickly. I irritated my shoulder and nothing worked until I just gave up and rested it.

get it chechked out by a doctor. get xrays to see whats wrong and to make sure you wont do any permanent or long term to your shoulders.
