Confidence issues: Can I do well in my job?

I'm trying out to be a soccer referee for peers (18-25) at my school. I'm scared that I won't make a good referee. I'm generally not a confident person, and I'm scared I won't be able to handle gray zones or resolve conflicts.

Do I exactly follow the rulebook or let it slide?
What if they start disagreeing with my, how do i discipline them?

Help me have the confidence to deal with these situations!

Hi well someone has to be able to control both teams ,so have confidence and don't expect to keep everyone happy coz it ain't going to happen ..

Follow the rule book then all will be well don't try to outsmart those who wrote it OK ♥

chase your blues. you need to be confident to take decisions. some decisions can go wrong, but only by taking decisions you will get better. so stop bothering & start doing. even if you are terrible initially you would get better. just go for it. even the best of the referees have some blunders, only thing is only they may KNOW it. so the key to do well is being confident.
