Can you battle someone on Guitar Hero III if you have different consoles?

My friend and I want to battle each other on Guitar Hero III. We'd be at different houses(I'd be at mine...vice versa) We have different consoles but if we went to the wi-fi or whatever it is would we be able to battle eachother even though we have different systems? Wii and Playstation 3 are the 2 consoles...Thanks!

no bc each console runs their own online program and each have completely different networks

no because the other person can use an controller and the games developers find that unfair

you can only play people on the same systems.
