This is something I got in my email--just thought I would share: From: Maggie M
Subject: It is so freaking sweet
Message: How you and your son bonded by murdering innocent animals..
Why do you teach your son awful skills like murder? People who hunt are sick people who need help. You obviously hunt because you want to feel dominant to other creatures by taking their lives.
You Suck
This was in regards to the video my son and I did for a local news channel. Think she went a little overboard? Check out the video http://video.kxly.com/watch.php?id=13489 and let me know what you think. I'm very proud of my son, just a shame we couldn't get a buck for him.

I did reply to her that I really wanted to take my son to a slaughter house to kill cattle for her barbecues and chickens for her McChicken sandwiches.

Falconry..I saw your video from another of your posts and almost e-mailed you then to call you a good dad. Too bad that this poor sufferer of delusions didn't have the privilege of being raised by such a great dad. Imagine a dad that spends quality time with his kid. What a novel idea! More folks should try it. Your kid will never have time or inclination to mug old ladies, and that is your fault. You should be so proud of your kid, and you should tell him I am proud of him too. He is already proud of his dad, and knows how special your excursions into the remains of the real world are. We can only hope that these kids who write such e-mails will learn at some point, but we know most of them won't. Or else she is a troll stirring up the pot. Some people just have to hate something. Good thing hunters aren't like that! Shoot safe! J
In her anti-hunting zeal, the poor soul missed the whole point of the video. If I were to guess, I'd say that she is a PETA member. Oh well, like they say, "you can't fix stupid".
You are doing a GREAT thing by taking your son hunting. Father-son relationships are extremely important. He will learn from you how to be a good, responsible man. It is also how you son will learn the skill of parenting for when he has children. 'Without this skill, many families become disfunctional. I know, I lived in a disfunctional family growing up. It is also how he will learn other skills such as making repairs around the home or playing sports. Believe me, he wants mom and dad to see him make that home run or that touchdown.
Your son wants and needs you in his life and that is exactly what this video was all about. This Maggie person was completely oblivious of this message. I don't know, maybe she never had the love and companionship of a father and/or mother and that is why she turned out the way she has, an anger filled person. I suppose we should feel sorry for someone who is so eaten up by all the anger churning inside them. They are miserable and probably lonely people.
Bottom line, kudos for you and pity for Maggie. Keep up the good work, my hat is off to you.
Don't let it get to you. These anti hunters don't understand and they never will. I have gotten to the point where when I receive youtube comments and emails from them I rarely answer. These people aren't worth arguing with. I had one looney, after a few emails, call me a murderer and told me that I rape wildlife! Just let it slide.
This is a great video. Hunting is really great, especially if you share it with your son. I wish you the best of luck in the future and hope you continue to make memories. My father was never a hunter, but I have made great memories with my step dad in the woods.
Congrats at bring you and your son together through a time-honored tradition. Hunting is a natural part of life that a lot of modern day society forgets about. Is the Lion a murderer when it stalks its prey in the plains of Africa? How about the Bear in the forest? This is how the world works. It's as simple as that, and humans are no exception. We are meat eaters, too. It's the nature life.
" Society will forever judge Hunters by their Compassion for the Animals that they Hunt for and Harvest for Sport and Food for themselves, family, friends and fellow Hunters."... " Hunting is Fun and Enjoyable, Killing is neither Fun or Enjoyable."... All life is precious to a true Hunter, and Sportsman.*.. Great Video, Hunting is not at all about Killing an Animal, as your video demonstrated.*
