Isn't it normal for a woman's belly button to "pop out" while she is pregnant?
Every time I get pregnant, my belly botton pops out around the 7th month. I recently moved to a new state and had to get a new doctor. The first thing he said while examining my belly was, "I see you have a hernia here." I don't know why he would say that because I thought this was a normal occurence. What do you know?

Thank you all for your answers. I wasn't really worried, just more curious. I don't believe I have a hernia because my belly button does this everytime and then goes back to normal after baby is born.

yes its normal, i think its normal either way....mine never popped out and my sisters popped out with all 3 of her kids.
maybe the doctor was refering to something else or how it was popped out...just ask him in more detail to explain to you why he thinks that.
Im not a doctor and my belly button didnt pop out during my pregnancies but it NORMAL! everyone is different. As for it being a hernia? I dont know about that. I wouldnt worry about it. Many of my friends belly buttons did the same thing.
Yes its normal, mine hasn't popped out yet but it during my first pregnancy. About the hernia, he is either weird or maybe he saw something else besides the belly button.
Define normal...In pregnancy the belly button may pop and is the result of a hernia in the stomach wall that occurs because of pregnancy. Most women will not pop during pregnancy so it is better to say that popping is healthy and safe for the baby and the mother, but popping will create problems with incontenance when the mother is in her senior years of life!
