My car was running hot and I took it to an independent co. They replaced my intake gaskets and water pump. He told me that my car was still running hot, so he replaced the thermostat. I'm driving and its not hot but its almost there.

You don't mention how many miles are on the car, but... you could have a partially clogged radiator. Also, make sure the radiator's heat dispersing fins are in good shape. Those are the very thin delicate spaces that air flows through. ALSO, if you have an electric radiator fan, make sure your coolant sensor switch, that turns on the fan, is working ok. that's just a couple of possibilities. Good luck!
