i have been recently been transfered to just commission sales. Is my company still obligated by law to pay my salary still because they were the ones that changed my position? I didnt ask to be transfered.

Technically, going from salaried to commission only can entitle you to unemployment if you are not being paid.
Call your state's unemployment agency and ask.

Unless you have a written contract, they can transfer you without notice as well as change your pay.
