Dunkin Donuts Payroll Policies?
My Nephew started working for a Dunkin Donuts store, part time, on February 2, 2009. This is in Camby, Indiana which is a suburb of Indianapolis.
His manager told him that he would receive his first pay on Friday, February 13. At hire he opted to receive his pay by direct deposit with his bank. It is now Saturday afternoon. There is no money in his account. He asked his manager about it and she said his first pay would come in the form of a paper check and it would be mailed to the house. Mail has already been delivered for today and there was no check. He asked his manager about it again and she became angry.
In the employee handbook it reads like the checks are to be passed out at the store during non busy hours. He was told they no longer do that even though thats what the handbook states. So does anyone know the real answer about how hourly employees are paid? Preferably I'd like an answer from someone who actually works for the company.
