Is USAF boot camp hard and long?

Im thinkin about enlisting in the air force to gain experience for being part of a ramp crew for a commercial airline, like loading luggage and fillin the planes with fuel and that stuff. I was wondering whether or not the boot camp for the af is long and hard like the marines and the navy and stuff.

It is the shorterst basic training (they just made it 8 weeks instead of 6 by the way) It is not "easy" if you think you are going there to have a good time. If you are serious about go talk to a recruiter about loadmaster. That is a close proximity to what you are looking for, plus you get to be part of an aircrew, super cool!

Any initial military contract involves an 8 year commitment split between active and reserve duty. If you want to be part of a ramp crew, I suggest speaking to the people who hire the ramp crew to discover the requirements they have for new employees. Whether USAF boot camp is considered long and hard will depend on the level of physical and mental preparation at the time of entering the service. From the way you constructed the sentences in the question, it is fairly evident you are quite bright. I hope you are taking a college prep curriculum and planning to go to college. If you want to be in the air force, participate in civil air patrol or afjrotc, and in college afrotc. In this country, the opportunities available for a bright kid are almost without bound; often he is unaware of the wealth of opportunities or just does not have access to great career advice. Or thinks that one bad semester in 9th grade precludes college and bases his future on this, when colleges only consider grades from 10th and 11th when making admissions decisions. If he goes to a JC, then, when transferring to a university, high school grades don't matter at all, only JC grades are considered for admissions purposes.
Good Luck!

All boot/basic camps are tough. Some are tougher then others.

In the end it all depends on you. If you have a hard time following orders and if you are some snotty nosed punk kid with attitude, then boot camp will be harder for you.

If you are a team player and are in some form of shape, then it will still be tough, but not as tough.

If you complete AF basic your gonna think it is the toughest thing in the world, but that is just because you havent gone through the other camps.

You will be fine, there is nothing to worry about. Thousands graduate each year and each one had the same worries that you do now.

It's as hard and long as you make it. Just remember this. If you do join the military, and after three weeks decide you don't like it, tough luck. It takes more paperwork to get out of the military than it does to get in. You can't "call in sick" or just up and quit and go home. You will be send places you may not want to go to. You will be required to work in conditions that civilian jobs won't. Beside all that, if you want to work on a ramp there are companies that are contracted to Airlines that provide ramp services and therefore no military experience is needed.

USAF Boot Camp is one of the easiest of the Military Branches.
Its just over six weeks long.

Its kind of funny, my friend is going in 6 months,
I'm going to the Army in 4 months.

We will be getting out of our basic(boot) at the same time about.
Haha, even though I'm leaving earlier.
