Basically California is going bankrupt, they want to legalize so they can collect tax revenue. Don't get me wrong I agree, right now they probably pay billions b/c it's illega, making it illegal they could stop spending that money plus make a ton off taxes but it seems pretty hypocritical of the government to do what's right now b/c there is money in it for themwhen they should have done this long ago.
One thing, as long as it's still illegal with the Federal Government its not legal for the states to tax it. Btw, they want to tax it $50 an ounce. Seems like a bit of an unreasonable tax, people will probably grow it themselves or continue to get it on the black market.
With Obama as President though, he's buddy buddy with Nancy Pelois so she may get him to do it. This would be the one positive thing that comes from Obamas presidency.

No one can have a definite answer, but if california does LEGALIZE marijuana, which I highly doubt will happen, and their economy changes for the better and crime stays the same or even diminishes then im sure other states would take it into consideration. Basically if it works in california then why wouldn't other states want to LEGALIZE marijuana.

As a pain sufferer in a red state I can only hope so. If it does become legal I would think the task of trying to staunch the flow out of CA would be impossible.

I sure as hell hope so. It's just a plant. There's nothing added into it. All they really do is grow it, pick it, dry it, then smoke it. That's it. With all the other drugs you have to add stuff and change it all up. It's gross. Just keep it simple!!

I hope weed is legalized in this country. Alcohol is much worse on your body.
