Do grapefruits grow on trees?

Yes they do. And those trees would be located in a citrus grove. Believe it or not, there are bigger fruits than grapefruits that grow on trees. Those would be pommades or breadfruits. Here in Florida we even grow Ponderosa lemons the size of grapefruit.

No, they aren't too big for trees and grapefruits do grow on trees. They're one of the orange's relatives so they can grow on trees like oranges.

If they were watermelons I would think they might be a little heavy, but a grapefruit are not as big as you think... maybe the bigger ones are around the size of a softball.

I believe that it takes 5 yrs of tree growth to produce the grapefruit ask at home depot or lowes
