Recommendations for getting songs off an IPod and back onto my hard drive?

My hard drive crashed and I lost a bunch of songs that I had not gotten around to backing up on CD. They are on my IPod Shuffle. I've asked a few people and did some searches and it seems like I could use Senuti or a couple of other programs to pull these back out of my Shuffle and reload them onto my new computer (a Mac with the latest OS 10.-whatever).

Has anyone used Senuti or similar programs? What was your experience? Any thoughts will be appreciated.

The most convenient and secure way is to use an iPod-to-mac transfer program to help you. This is how I did. I used 4Media iPod to Mac Transfer. http://gutensoft.com/Utilities/4Media-iPod-to-Mac-Transfer.html

It can help easily transfer all music, photos, videos, podcast, and TV shows on your iPod back to Mac completely and safely. Also, you can use it to transfer files from iPod to iTunes or from Mac to iPod in a direct way.

The great thing is that it won't cause any deletion of any files while transferring, because: when this program is launched, it will modify the automatic synchronization of music/video to manual synchronization between iPod and iTunes.

It even has step-by-step guide:

Hope it helps.

2 innovations a million. you should maintain your bros songs which you circulate with to a flash rigidity or a disk, open that rigidity or disk on your computing gadget, and upload those songs on your music library. (that's what I did as rapidly as I upgraded from an iPod classic to a sprint). 2. in case you reside which contain your brother, i think of of the iHome factor is meant to be able to merge money owed or some situation on iTunes. I quite have decrease than no circumstances tried it so i do no longer understand precisely what it does yet i think of of it is going to likely be precise nicely worth a shot.
