Yes, it is scary. I'm not sure what you mean by "you people" - most of the yahoo! answers folks I've seen answer these girls answer pretty well, although some are people who don't know what they're talking about and need to get lives. Today society puts too much pressure on girls to be thin already.

Well, people are not killing these kids at all, and if they didn't tell them, don't you think they would find out some other way?

Also, some people genuinely do want to lose weight and need to you, whereas others may not, but it doesn't hurt to be a little thin, but you can be dangerously thin, but that happens to people and it is up to their friends and family to help them out, and you cannot place the blame upon the people of Yahoo answers.

Also, what's thin to you, maybe different to others, for example you may think being overweight is normal and not fat at all, therefore people who are at a good reasonable weight you may think are dangerously thin. For example many people think that they're perfectly healthy at 14 stone and average height, e.g: obese. Whereas' actually their BMI (Body Mass Index) is actually rather high, and they're putting their health at risk.

Hope this answers your question...

What scares me is that about 1% of people on this site actually know what they're talking about. The rest of the people just support each other in spreading misinformation.
Also, every question is the same.
"How do I lose weight without diet or exercise?"
or
"How to I get bigger? I only have a 5 pound weight."

I totally agree. It's partly stupid people believing what they see on tv and partly peers. Insecure people making other people as insecure as they are so they don't have to work to improve themselves. Money runs it too. The weight loss industry is a multimillion dollar scam. All we can do is teach our daughters that they are beautiful no matter what anyone says, try to be a bigger voice than there peers, and tell each other that we are beautiful curvy women that should be proud. A woman is supposed to have curves...that coca cola bottle look. Stick figures are only normal on sick people and little boys.

I see where you are coming from. The wrong people are over-concerned with their body image. It seems to be young girls, who are still growing and need to worry about strength and nutrition instead of how they look in a pair of jeans. 1/3 of the United States is Obese and another 3rd is overweight- that doesn't mean that the rest are healthy.
