It really doesn't matter what kind of car it is, at your price point you need the best, most reliable car you can find for the money. If that happens to be a Chevy Malibu then that is the car you need to buy.
If you find a Honda in good condition in your price range, buy it.
It's all about condition and how well maintained the car has been, Not who makes it or is it cute.
