I can't recall the name of the show, it currently plays weekly, and the guy is a private detective who decided to do this type of work because of his mother's request years ago to find her own parents...thanks for any info..

It's called The Locator & is on the WE cable network. The guy who does the show is named Troy Dunn. He's been on Dr. Phil a few times to talk about his show & discuss reunion ups & downs.
It's on Saturdays at 9/8c. Check your local cable/satellite's on-screen guide to find it. Or, do a title search if your guide has this feature.
