week killer first or seed first?

again this spring i have quite a few stubborn weeds in my front lawn. i'm in eastern ontario. does anyone know if i should patch the bare spots with seed first and then worry about the weeds once the grass has grown? or should i deal with the weeds now, then seed? pulling the weeds doesn't help. :( thanks

If the stubborn weed is crabgrass, then use a pre-emergent fertilizer/weed killer. If the weeds are up already, then seed and use a weed and feed fertilizer to fertilize the new seeds while taking care of the weeds.
I am in Michigan so the conditions are probably not the same but they are likely pretty close.

if you weed first the weed killer will kill the new seed you have read the instructions on the killer for how long to can wait to seed. you can either weed or seed
