Culiacan, Mexico, is located on the West Coast of the country, not far from the Sea of Cortez. It is also fairly far north, within easy driving distance of the States. There is a medium-sized airport in the city as well, and it is the capitol of the Mexican state of Sinalo. It can also, if you have the time and equipment, be reached by a few days sailing around Baja California. Culiacan is the capital of the state of Sinaloa, in Northwestern Mexico. It's about 800 miles from the US South border (if measured from Nogales, AZ). Here you have more information:
