Have you noticed that the same people who deny global warming, also deny evolution? What does that mean to you?

All answers welcomed, though not all will be believed. As is life!

Excellent point, novangelis. It would not be prudent for the oil companies to acknowledge global warming.

You know what else they have in common? They all voted republican.

Some people are willing to put their beliefs ahead of the world in front of them. If it were anyone, it would be them, I think Religion should not be trusted with the stupid.

To me it means perhaps you generalize too much when judging people. I don't deny evolution, but I don't 100% blindly accept it either - it's only a theory after all, just happens to be the best one we have so far and makes sense.

Also I do believe global warming exists, but more from a climatology viewpoint, i.e. weather on a larger scale than our short lifetimes can perceive. However I do think many people are overestimating our impact on the Earth and its effect on climate, or indeed climatology, and believe current conditions are part of a much larger ongoing weather cycle spanning thousands of years, where our contribution to the atmosphere with pollutants is having next to no effect in the bigger scheme of things.

Having said that I do think fossil fuels are evil and will be very happy when we stop using them, not because of the atmosphere on a global scale but more because of the air we breath on a much more local scale. I think we'll kill ourselves off with noxious gasses long before we do any lasting damage to Earth if we don't stop burning stuff to create energy.

What that means is you are making a statement based question on an opinion, not on a fact. There are lots of people who would deny global warming as a totally man made effect but who quite happily support evolution.

What it means to me is that there are a lot of very intelligent people out there who do not follow the masses in their ridiculous belief in the popular science of the day.

When I was a child in elementary school we read in our Weekly Reader that the world was heading for an Ice Age. Thirty years before that it was global warming. And forty years before that it was cooling again. Also, our modern scientists conveniently ignore the medieval warming period.

I am an atheist myself that does not fully support the whole global warming theory, mostly because the data for it is inconsistent: and Al Gore is a moron. Come on people you are going to believe the person who said he invented the internet.

EDIT:
ARGA you have no understanding of evolution and the science.

Thumbs down guess that means some of you like Al Moron Gore.
