Have you noticed that the same people who deny global warming, also deny evolution? What does that mean to you?
All answers welcomed, though not all will be believed. As is life!
Excellent point, novangelis. It would not be prudent for the oil companies to acknowledge global warming.
Wonderful answers everyone. Thank you so much.

You know what else they have in common? They all voted republican.
Some people are willing to put their beliefs ahead of the world in front of them. If it were anyone, it would be them, I think Religion should not be trusted with the stupid.

To me it means perhaps you generalize too much when judging people. I don't deny evolution, but I don't 100% blindly accept it either - it's only a theory after all, just happens to be the best one we have so far and makes sense.
Also I do believe global warming exists, but more from a climatology viewpoint, i.e. weather on a larger scale than our short lifetimes can perceive. However I do think many people are overestimating our impact on the Earth and its effect on climate, or indeed climatology, and believe current conditions are part of a much larger ongoing weather cycle spanning thousands of years, where our contribution to the atmosphere with pollutants is having next to no effect in the bigger scheme of things.
Having said that I do think fossil fuels are evil and will be very happy when we stop using them, not because of the atmosphere on a global scale but more because of the air we breath on a much more local scale. I think we'll kill ourselves off with noxious gasses long before we do any lasting damage to Earth if we don't stop burning stuff to create energy.

What that means is you are making a statement based question on an opinion, not on a fact. There are lots of people who would deny global warming as a totally man made effect but who quite happily support evolution.

What it means to me is that there are a lot of very intelligent people out there who do not follow the masses in their ridiculous belief in the popular science of the day.
When I was a child in elementary school we read in our Weekly Reader that the world was heading for an Ice Age. Thirty years before that it was global warming. And forty years before that it was cooling again. Also, our modern scientists conveniently ignore the medieval warming period.

I am an atheist myself that does not fully support the whole global warming theory, mostly because the data for it is inconsistent: and Al Gore is a moron. Come on people you are going to believe the person who said he invented the internet.
EDIT:
ARGA you have no understanding of evolution and the science.
Thumbs down guess that means some of you like Al Moron Gore.

Depends on the scientist you are speaking/reading. "Global warming" i.e. global climate change which is a natural process according to my professors in Geophysics at UT. Evolution is what most scientists' believe in. I deny the media and politicians views on global warming but believe in evolution. Yes we need to control our waste (both civilian and industrial) but we can't stop the planet. I sorry can't buy into some mystical figure that created the planet 5000 yrs. ago. Have fun and I'll wait for my thumbs down.

Creationists believe the world was created just for humans. It is now as it always was and always will be. Obviously, the Christian god will not allow any sort of catastrophic changes to his perfect creation so global warming must be untrue.

They also appear to be the same people who think bush kept our country safe from terrorists for 8 years.
That bushian global politics caused 911 in the first place doesn't seem to register with them.

It means the Republican party (greedy) and the Christians conservatives (superstitious) have joined up. The greedy deny global warming because dealing with this crisis will cut into their profits. The superstitious deny Evolution because science is in contradiction to their religious writings.

no
because they have different motives for not believing in evolution vs global warming
people may not believe in global warming because they think its exagerated, the government just wants them to spend more money, whatver their hang up on it is
i am an environment minor so i know how people argue this, theres this bit where its accepted that the earth gives off more greenhouse gases then all human combined (it does- think volcanoes) but the human contribution is in excess and is not checked and balanced by the earth
therefore you can have two sides to that argument
they don't believe in evolution because of some religious stigma, i guess that they dont want to think we're just animals like the rest of the planet because it diminishes their uniqueness to god or something
where are you getting this correlation anyways
i think your just using a fact that is almost certainly ture (evolution) to try and metaphorically say that those who dont believe in global warming are stupid
or religious i dont know

1st of all, this is not true.
2nd of all, what your question implies is that those who deny global warming are covering their ears to scientific evidence that it is happening.
3rd of all, although I don't care about global warming news, I have never thought that it's good to abuse the environment anyway.
Have you noticed that both the people that deny and accept global warming are not converting to the Amish religion?? I mean, it's utter hypocrisy and all for political gain on both sides. Unlike Global warming, evolution has no scientific evidence or experimentation, it's conclusions of things that have never been seen. Theories developed to satisfy the craving of wanting to know what can't be seen. Natural selection is not evolution. A dog becoming a monkey is, and this is bulldung.
