I understand a proposed amendment to the Constitution—which amendment, however, I have not seen—has passed Congress, to the effect that the Federal Government shall never interfere with the domestic institutions of the States, including that of persons held to service. To avoid misconstruction of what I have said, I depart from my purpose not to speak of particular amendments so far as to say that, holding such a provision to now be implied constitutional law, I have no objection to its being made express and irrevocable. March 4, 1861 Lincoln's first inaugural address.

History gives him credit as a Great U.S. President but he is also regarded as having tragically been taken from posterity where he could have clarified what are ambiguous statements and extreme actions taken during the successfull War against the seceding states. He did sign the Emancipation Proclamation -- learn more about it and how it was later Constitutional amendments that prohibited slavery legally and assured votes for all people of color !

Abraham Lincoln was a bad president, in my opinion.

He was on the side of the union. There was no bad side in the American Civil War.

Lincoln was a tyrant, he suspended habeas corpus and when a the supreme Court justice came against him on this he threatened to throw the man in jail.

he suspended congress and only gave them the power over the budget and nothing more

he instituted a draft (again with out congress) and then left a buy out clause that said if you paid 200$ you didn't have to fight..and when the city revolted on this matter he sent in troops to to fire on the mob to but it down

when the ranks were running thin, it was this man who told the war dept to go down to the docks where the immigrants were coming to force men of fighting age into the army with out their consent...
