If you gave up soda, why did you do it? For how long? Did it make you feel better without it?
I gave up soda a week ago because my diabetic lab results were not to my liking. I gave up some other unhealthy foods, but this one really stings. The cravings are not going away. Suggestions please? It was diet cola btw.

there is no longer something 'risky' approximately soda. (i'm particular the different poster can clarify what's 'poisonous' approximately water with sugar and CO2 in it.) this is empty energy and not in all probability necessary at any age, yet once you may furnish could count on yoru family individuals and your possibilities. 3 or 4 could be ok as an occassional handle. (real tale -- mutually as hubby beverages various soda, I not often if ever drink it. I do basically no longer look after it. So this is not something I ever concept to furnish my daughter whilst she grew to become into youthful. She could occassionally get flat coke to handle a abdomen soreness, yet for real beverages, she drank milk and water and juice. whilst she have been given to be around 4ish i presumed she could have some soda if she needed it, so sooner or later whilst we've been out for a meal, I asked her if she needed some coke. Her respond? "yet mommy, i've got not got a tummy soreness." She's now 21, and nevertheless would not care lots for soda.
I gave up soda because I wanted to seriously cut down on my sugar intake. I learned that in my quest to lose weight it was not fat that was my problem it was sugar! its been a while since ive had soda..whenever i drink any if i do at all its always diet. no sugar no fat. and ive grown accustomed to it. as result i have lost some weight and feel better then i use to. some clothe fit better and i feel my confidence returning to me.
Granted giving up a habit is not easy and i can understand why it stings for you. its hard for me all the time to not look at a coke bottle and want to gulp it down or even pass by the candy section. but dont worry it does get better and gets easier.
I gave up diet pop about two years ago because of migraines. It was very difficult to do and took a couple months to adjust, but was certainly worth the pain. I find that I am not as hungry either now that I've replaced it with water. Try eating something else less addicting that you enjoy to suppress the cravings until you are past it. Good luck.
I just decided not to drink it, and that was that. There are plenty of other, and far more healthy, things to drink in soda's place. Water suited me just fine.
Not to mention the money saved when not buying any soda - as the rest of the family went on a soda embargo by default as well. It's been a few years now and no one misses the soda.
I rarely drink Soda. I use it to reward myself, but normally I only drink it once in three (?) months. My parents don't buy it, and even though there are vending machines at school I just don't go to the trouble.
If you want to overcome your diabetes start by exercising self control. Honestly, try orange juice or apple juice or even just plain water. Some juices taste much better than carbonated soda.
