Another Disney World Question!?

Are there a lot of mosquitoes in Disney World around June? I'm asking just in case I have to take some mosquito spray.

I would definitely take some. Bull Frog makes some great sunscreen + bug spray.

Disney World is not free of bugs.

Hello,

Disney World spray peppermint and bug repelling spray all over the park every night, therefore technically there shouldn't be hardly any bugs around according to my disney world trivia book. I have been 5 times and never seen any bugs around. I know some people have though, it's always better to be safe than sorry though so take some anyway like I do. You'll need it for the rest of Orlando, as June is quite a bad time for bugs, I went in August 2 years ago and the hotel was swarming with them outside.
Hope you have a lovely holiday despite the mosquitoes.

There are millions of mosquitos in Orlando, but DIsney does many special things to take care of the harmful bugs, including bees (not the flower type bees but the wasps, ect...). I have been over 16 times and 5 times to Disneyland and have NEVER gotten a mosquito bite!

I have been in June before and did end up needing stuff to ward off the pests (bugs, not photopass photographers ;) ).

I found what worked the best was to find those sunscreens that have mosquito repellent built in. Since you will be in Florida in June, you need sunscreen anyways. This works great because it is both products in one application.

For example: http://www.avon.com/1/3/bug-repellant-with-picaridin has some of these products. Just make sure the product you buy doesn't contain DEET, or if it does, apply it sparingly.

I have gone to Disney World in may before, and take it from me, there were no bugs. It is weird because I encountered very few mosquitoes when I went, if any.
