Why don't more fast food restaurants have vegetarian options?
I don't eat fast food much,I don't like it. But,I've noticed,most,especially fast food chains,don't have many,or any,vegetarian options.
Vegetarianism is becoming more popular now,but still,it's the same.
For example,McDonalds..Their french fries are cooked with meat juices..Why the heck would fries need to be cooked with meat?

It's a bit of a stretch to say the fries are cooked with meat juices. It's more of a flavoring (and don't ask me why they feel they need to use it).
Getting to your question: I'm not sure I'd want to eat a veggie burger from a fast food joint famous for cow burgers. Think about your burger being cooked on the same surface as a meat burger, and you'll see what I mean. Also, because of the way the fryers are, your fries may end up sharing cooking in the same vat where something fleshy was cooked a few minutes ago. Yuck!
There are a handful of options. Chipotle is wonderful if you're vegan. Besides the obvious dairy and meat products, avoid the pinto beans; otherwise, everything else is vegan. There's a chain called Moe's Southwest Grill that's also veg-friendly and has tofu as an option for your taco or burrito. At Subway, you can have a veggie delite. Johnny Rockets has the Streamliner, a vegan Boca burger (which I suspect shares grill space with the icky burgers). Create-your-own salad companies are popping up, and most should have vegan options, although why they don't think to actually COOK the tofu to put on your salad is beyond me. But you can get a big bowl of nice veggies, toss in some fruit and nuts, and have a nice meal.
Google "vegan fast food" and you'll get an idea of what's vegan at chain restaurants. And if you have an iPhone or Touch, check out the VeganXpress app for this same information; you don't need to be connected to WiFi to use it.
I think its because the majority of people eat meat, which means they wont make enough profit off of the vegetarian foods. Yeah McDonalds say that their french fries are cooked in vegetable oil, but they only cook them in vegetable oil at the restaurants. At the factories they cook the french fries with meat juices. I think they cook them with meat juices just so they can have more flavor and taste better.
I am a vegetarian, not a vegan. I eat at fast food chains quite often. Burger king and subway have Morning Star Farms Veggie Burgers, but you have to ask. They will also make you any of their sandwiches sort of vegetarian style by taking off the meat. You just have to be creative. You can always get salads if you like. You have to ask, they don't put it on the menu. They wouldn't make enough to cover the cost of special menu items.
