Why don't more fast food restaurants have vegetarian options?
I don't eat fast food much,I don't like it. But,I've noticed,most,especially fast food chains,don't have many,or any,vegetarian options.
Vegetarianism is becoming more popular now,but still,it's the same.
For example,McDonalds..Their french fries are cooked with meat juices..Why the heck would fries need to be cooked with meat?

It's a bit of a stretch to say the fries are cooked with meat juices. It's more of a flavoring (and don't ask me why they feel they need to use it).
Getting to your question: I'm not sure I'd want to eat a veggie burger from a fast food joint famous for cow burgers. Think about your burger being cooked on the same surface as a meat burger, and you'll see what I mean. Also, because of the way the fryers are, your fries may end up sharing cooking in the same vat where something fleshy was cooked a few minutes ago. Yuck!
There are a handful of options. Chipotle is wonderful if you're vegan. Besides the obvious dairy and meat products, avoid the pinto beans; otherwise, everything else is vegan. There's a chain called Moe's Southwest Grill that's also veg-friendly and has tofu as an option for your taco or burrito. At Subway, you can have a veggie delite. Johnny Rockets has the Streamliner, a vegan Boca burger (which I suspect shares grill space with the icky burgers). Create-your-own salad companies are popping up, and most should have vegan options, although why they don't think to actually COOK the tofu to put on your salad is beyond me. But you can get a big bowl of nice veggies, toss in some fruit and nuts, and have a nice meal.
Google "vegan fast food" and you'll get an idea of what's vegan at chain restaurants. And if you have an iPhone or Touch, check out the VeganXpress app for this same information; you don't need to be connected to WiFi to use it.

I think its because the majority of people eat meat, which means they wont make enough profit off of the vegetarian foods. Yeah McDonalds say that their french fries are cooked in vegetable oil, but they only cook them in vegetable oil at the restaurants. At the factories they cook the french fries with meat juices. I think they cook them with meat juices just so they can have more flavor and taste better.

honestly i feel like restaurants are pretty vegetarian friendly, most places at least carry a couple vegetarian options. and many restaurants carry some type of veggie burger or sandwich.
mickey d's is a whole different story they have basically nothing that is vegetarian let alone vegan.
vegan options are the really hard ones to come by, basically everything comes with cheese on it i swear, and they never put it on the menu half the time, so im always asking for no cheese on things that never had cheese on them in the first place then i look like and idiot, oh well better safe than sorry.
here are places with many vegetarian options: panera, denny's, subway, burger king, steak n'shake

I am a vegetarian, not a vegan. I eat at fast food chains quite often. Burger king and subway have Morning Star Farms Veggie
Burgers, but you have to ask. They will also make you any of their sandwiches sort of vegetarian style by taking off the meat. You just have to be creative. You can always get salads if you like. You have to ask, they don't put it on the menu. They wouldn't make enough to cover the cost of special menu items.

The Answer is pretty simple, really: fast-food places---McDonald's being a perfect example---wouldn't profit from it.
People go to places like Mickey D's for speed, convenience, and consistency (I have visited McDonald's restaurants in Australia and Japan, and a Big Mac tastes exactly the same as it does here in Pennsylvania!). One of the LEAST important criteria for visiting a fast-food restaurant is "health concerns".
Also, in order for a restaurant (fast-food or otherwise) to have a TRULY vegetarian/vegan menu, they would have to use at least two separate sets of cooking equipment, one for non-veggie foods, and one for strictly vegetarian foods. It would be wrong of them to cook, for example, a veggie burger on the same grill that also cooks hamburgers. The expense would be prohibitive for the owner/manager of a restaurant.

I know what you mean. I can't stand it! The only places I know of that have things for vegetarians are Subway (Veggie Delight), Sonic (grilled cheese, tator tots, and fries), and Burger King (fries, veggie burgers, salad, and fruits).

This is really easy.
Why are restaurants in business? Right! To make money!
And how do restaurants make money? Of course! They attract paying customers!
How do they attract paying customers? Bingo! They sell food that people want to buy!
If you think enough people are willing to pay money for vegetarian fast-food, then why don't you open a restaurant yourself? I advise you to think about it carefully though. Professional restaurateurs, people who are experts in the business, apparently don't believe there's much money to be made in vegetarian fast food - otherwise they'd be opening vegetarian fast-food restaurants!
I think that in the right market, you could make a go of it, but you'd have to be very selective of your market and very creative in your marketing, but who knows?

Subway has a really good veggie patty. Another option is mexican. The place I go to has about 15 veggie dishes. And most of them are delicious! Taco Bell has a taco salad that you can substitute the meat for refried beans. you have to ask for it tho :)
