I get lost a lot, specially in a new environment. I can't find the way back to a place even if I have gone there 5 times on the same road. What is the secret of people who remember the way, after only going there once? How do I stop getting lost? Any help or links or websites about people in the same state would be appreciated

Get a hand held GPS and learn how to use it. You might consider either a TomTom 920 or a Garmn Nuvi 370 which both have a walking mode.

I have exactly the same problem that you describe. But my father and partner both remember ways just after one trip (even if its 10 years ago). I get lost even inside video games!! One reason I've found is that I tune out when travelling (maybe the result of extensive car travel as a child) and go into my own world. If I am driving the things I remember are potholes, road color changes, and cows (which do keep moving next time I come around). The GPS was a godsend to me, when I moved to a new country. But it is not the best solution because sometimes I look up only when it says "You have reached you destination". My dad tried to help me with maps and pointing out landmarks (the ones he pointed out, like the odd wall, the blue building etc. I still remember, but I don't see them on my own). would love to catch up with you and see if there are others who have the same issue rumeyj@yahoo.com
buy a big roll of cotton.tie it to your front door when you leave home.when you want to go home you only have to start rolling it up and follow it.fool proof.
