What about Nutro Natural Choice, not holistic?

I have just seen a lot of negative about Nutro, but, nothing mentioned about the Natural Choice types of Nutro.......anyone know anything about it. Also, we just started on some Newman's Own dog food, all natural, organic, I dont know how long its been out there....anyone know anything about it?

I fed the Natural Choice for a while-it was a requirement of my youngest dog's adoption that we keep him on it. It gave him liquid diarrhea and he vomited bile for months until I got him off of it. I let the rescue people know what I thought of their requirement-the poor dog was miserable. Newman's Own is a good food...I wouldn't hesitate to feed it-great ingredients-I'm not a nutritionist, but neither is the yahoo that runs the dogfoodanalysis site...there isn't anything bad in Newman's Own, and it's mostly organic. Innova is an awesome food. Healthwise and California Natural are wonderful. Other good ones: Merrick, Prairie, Solid Gold, Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover-to name a few.

Nutro has lots of problems and I'd stay away from it. They just had a recall on their Natural Choice cat dry food. I used one bag of Nutro max when my dog was a puppy, but then I learned that they are not a good company. I have a friend who is a rep for Nutro and I can get it almost for free, even the Ultra Holistic, but I choose to stick with Wellness.

Look, just because a few people tell you something bad doesn't mean you have to listen to them.
Go to Nutro's website and check out the "recalls" yourself. They are all on CAT food. None of the dog food has any problems. If it did I sure as hell wouldn't be feedint it to my Ch pedigree Labrador Retrievers!

Feed what you are comfortable with, what your dog likes, and what best suites his needs. Nutro makes smaller poop, less poop breaks, shinier coat, healthier joints, and less food fills them up.

Nutro isn't the best kibble out there. I suggest looking at the following website where you can compare different dog foods. This is NOT my opinion, this is fact. These aren't just people rating them. This is based on type and quality of ingredients that are nutritionally sound for your pup. It's science (or Mother Nature have you) not my opinion.

Natural Choice Nutro (2 out of 6 stars)

5 Star Kibbles

6 Star Kibbles

Newman's Own (3 out of 6 stars)

I wouldn't give your dog anything that isn't on the 5 or 6 star list, I feed mine raw and she is doing GREAT! Good luck!

Oh sorry. http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com/ Now search under "Reviews" and you'll find that information!
