Are gut feelings about your spouse being dishonest usually correct?

I believe so.
The reason is this (in my opinion) you get to know the person you are with really well and can usually tell if something seems "off."
Call it intuition, gut feelings, etc but all it really boils down to is them seeming to be holding something back from you. They tend to express it in little ways and sometimes not so little ways, even if they don't realize they are.

I can tell you that my wife has had gut feelings about me...99% of the time correct on the feeling, but the details were off...

I hate that too, because I automatically feel like I got to spill my guts...

Yes, & I speak from experience. If I had acted on my gut feelings earlier in the marriage my children & I would not have suffered so much .It is really strange how those feelings turn out to be so true.

Yes.

And that is the MAIN reason I SO Hate when people on this board chastise spouses who look through things and discover their partner being unfaithful.

Most people USUALLY go day-to-day minding their own business and one day, a little nagging voice pops into their head and they start "snooping" and Lo and behold! They find out their spouse is a cheating bastard.

MOST people don't "snoop" unless "something" tells them to.

Well I've had gut feelings when something was about to go wrong, but I can answer for him-he's had dreams of me cheating when I was.
