Oh to ur question, ill go for both. Longest ur family loves u then, they will always be on ur side to choose ur shaadi mate or say and judgebif thats the one u love.

Love and family are normally inseparable. I can only think of 2 scenarios when you have to choose:
1) You fall in love with someone but it is forbidden and your family don't approve of him so you have to leave your family to be with your lover or leave your lover and stay with your family,
2) You are married and suddenly meet someone else and fall in love with them so have to choose between your family or your happiness with your lover.
I cannot tell you what to do, but this is what I would do:
Try and do whatever it takes to win my family over in the first scenario.
In the second case I would say there was something wrong with the relationship to begin with for me to even look at other people. I would have to search within long and hard to decide family or love.

You shouldn't have to choose between love or family...your family should love you unconditionally...so there shouldn't ever have to be a choice...if your family wants you to choose between them or another person...that's not fair...unless the other person is emotionally or physically abusive...a family doesn't have to like our love interest...but they do need to accept that person either way...I Hope this is helpful!

I like to believe that love is family, and family is love.
When you are first born, the first people to love you (unconditionally) are your family members.
When you are older and marry your true love, your spouse becomes family.
So, family and love are not mutually independent. In fact, I would say that they are one in the same.
