I donate blood on a semi-regular basis and have since I was old enough.
In college, I sold plasma for beer, I mean, food money. I liked that because I was earning some righteous bucks by helping, plus I got to study for an hour or so in free air conditioning.

I would if they would take MY blood! They won't take mine because of my on & off controlled Diabetes!

I used to donate about 4 times a year. But since I started working nights I don't donate any more. The last time i donated I fainted because i had worked all night and was tired. I should donate again..My blood type is AB+ and is needed.

I have been donating blood ever since I was allowed at the age of 18.
I joined my father in his Idea
his first wife had terminal leukemia and at one point the doctors decided to no longer give her the blood she needed for life support due to an acute shortage from that moment on he started giving blood to save lives and I can only say that I join him in that idea

I do donate when I'm able to get my weight up to limit but I have a hard time getting it there or keeping it where it needs to be. It's an extremely fast metabolism & it keeps me mostly under-weight though I do try to pack on the pounds.
