A Gift of Life Poll: Do you donate blood and/or plasma?

I would if they would take MY blood! They won't take mine because of my on & off controlled Diabetes!

I used to donate about 4 times a year. But since I started working nights I don't donate any more. The last time i donated I fainted because i had worked all night and was tired. I should donate again..My blood type is AB+ and is needed.

I have been donating blood ever since I was allowed at the age of 18.

I joined my father in his Idea

his first wife had terminal leukemia and at one point the doctors decided to no longer give her the blood she needed for life support due to an acute shortage from that moment on he started giving blood to save lives and I can only say that I join him in that idea

I have donated a couple times. But I haven't for a few years, I really need to tho. I like that I'm helping other people.

I do donate when I'm able to get my weight up to limit but I have a hard time getting it there or keeping it where it needs to be. It's an extremely fast metabolism & it keeps me mostly under-weight though I do try to pack on the pounds.

I do it a few times a year. I have to be careful. I once donated blood and lied when they asked if I'd eaten then fainted when I stood up afterward. It was embarrassing.

I have given it.

I have sold it and now i am back to the point where i give it up.

I like the hour to read a book without the hassle of others.

No. I puked all over the place the first time I gave blood. I meet the requirements, I think I was just really nervous. I couldn't bring myself to do it again.

I can't right now. I just had a baby and am breastfeeding. I did a few times before at blood drives.

Tried to donate once.....unfortunately I passed out:(
