If you had the opportunity to jump aboard a float a la the parade scene in Ferris Bueller...?

and perform two songs of your choosing, would you snag it or chicken out?

Q2: What two songs would you choose?

BQ: Wayne Newton's "Danke Schoen" or The Beatles' "Twist and Shout"?
BQ2: Are you/were you notorious for skipping class in high school?
BQ3: How do you celebrate Von Steuben Day?

I'd chicken out. Like run in the other direction as fast as I could chicken out. But let's pretend I would snag it....

I'd have to bust out It's Not Unusual by Tom Jones and Kentucky Woman by Neil Diamond. Or maybe just do two Tom Jones songs and include What's New, Pussycat? Either way, something that keeps with the spirit and pageantry of Ferris' performance.

BQ-Twist and Shout
BQ2- lol, yeah, you could say that!
BQ3-Oh, you know, by doing.....stuff.

I'm sure that I would chicken out if I was being honest with myself, and really, I think the crowd's days would be better for it. I've been the singer in a band a couple of times but I don't have what would be considered a good singing voice.

1. I Am The Walrus. This is because of the greatest karaoke experience that I have ever had by about a trip to the moon and back. My wife and I were away on our honeymoon and we go into this karaoke bar that was pretty packed because it was a summer weekend in a touristy beach town and all of that good stuff. The crowd was good and lubricated and I went up and did I am the Walrus. Because I wasn't even going to try to hit those high notes (the sort of "woo"s after the "I am the eggman" "They are the eggmen" lines) I kicked them to the audience and I swear the whole bar bit on it. It was awesome.
For the second tune... hmm. the Pixies' Wave of Mutilation. Don't really know why. Just sounds fun.

1. Twist and Shout, I'm not a big Danke Shon guy.
2. Yeah, I didn't ditch a single time (minus a lot of "questionable" sick days) until about half-way through my junior year, but then I got a little too into skipping out on the first two periods and almost failed a class I needed to graduate over it.
3. I never did realize it was a real holiday.

I'd probably chicken out since my singing voice would ruin everyones good time at the parade perhaps even induce a few seizures if any epileptics were in the crowd. But, if I had a decent voice I would snag it.

q2: "Peanut Vendor" by Dean Martin http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uq4k181x3AI
"Mamae Eu Quero" by Carmen Miranda http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6P5Vtx1D7RQ

bq: Wayne Newton's "Danke Schoen"
bq2: Yes!
bq3: Music, friends and heavy drinking as all holidays should be celebrated.

I would snag it, hahaha. There's nothing like making an *** out of myself :)

Q2: Pet Sematary - The Ramones & Story Of My Life - Social Distortion
Bq: Twist and Shout
Bq2: Ha, yep. I skipped my World Studies class 8 days in a row this past May.
Bq3: Er, dance?

I'd probably feel a little nervous at first but it would totally be worth it in the end. Impromptu karaoke is the best karaoke, mang.

Q2: I would perform Eel's All in a Day's Work and Working for a Nuclear Free City's Sarah Dreams of Summer.

BQ: Twist and Shout
BQ2: I hate/hated skipping class.
BQ3: :3
