I saw one last December during the NCAA semi-finals in Omaha. Stanford was playing Texas and dropped the first two games (20-25, 18-25) -- and didn't look very good in the process.
After the break, it was like a different team came out of the locker room. Stanford just took over in the third set, and won 25-15. That's a whomping. Texas had kept their starting lineup in the match, so it's not like they were trying to give away a game. Then Stanford continued its comeback, and won the 4th set by a tighter margin -- 25-22.
The fifth set was a see-saw battle. Texas jumped out to a 3-0 lead, then Stanford went on a run and tied it up. It was a 1 or 2 point game all the way to the end, and Stanford won 15-13.
The match was played at a huge arena, and in front of a very large crowd (more than 10,000 in attendance). It was a lot of fun. Stanford ended up collapsing in the championship match against Penn State, but that Stanford-Texas semi-final was one of the most exciting matches I've ever seen.
This was the first time in NCAA Tournament history that a team has come back from a 2-0 deficit to win in a national semifinal match.
