Okay, so our freezer has been leaking water into our fridge, and before we would just wipe up the water and "the end" but now, the water is freezing, and everything else has too. (the milk, pop, dude, even the butter had ice in it) The setting for the coldness (?) is from 1-5, and ours is set to three.. anyone have any idea what is going on?

There should drip pan under the evaporators behind the rear wall of the freezer. This is to catch water created during the defrost cycle. There is a drain tube that runs down to a pan under the condenser coils under the unit. Sometimes something can plug this hose, like an errant frozen pea or kernal of corn. If this happens, the pan will overflow and the water will begin to drain down through the refrigerator.
There should be two settings in your refrigerator. The refrigerator setting is the actual thermostat that controls the unit. The freezer setting is nothing more than a baffle that restricts air flow from the freezer to the refrigerator. If this has been going on awhile, its possible water has gotten into the baffle, frozen and broken it, so now you have too much cold air entering the refrigerator from the freezer.
Step one would be to clear the drain tube and get the water going out the way its supposed to. If your other problems persist, then step two would be to check the baffle.
It sounds like your fridge is an automatic defrost model and there's either something wrong with the thermostat or a control board.
The thermostat would be fairly easy and inexpensive to replace but if something is wrong with the defrost circuit, it may be a different story. Try adjusting the thermostat and see what that does before going out to buy a new fridge.
Also, check the door seals, a seal that isn't doing it's thing could cause it to make more condensation than normal, it would also be run more than normal and make cold spots that would freeze your food.
Your refrigerator is low on Freon and desires to be seen by making use of a refrigeration guy or replaced. from time to time your compressor could desire to be going out and that is as much affordable to purchase yet another new equipment than mess with that. as far because of the fact the meals being very properly to devour, you ought to get a thermostat and notice how chilly it somewhat is in the unit. i does not want to debris with something above 40 stages yet even then if meals are going undesirable rather immediately, i might bypass forward and purchase a clean equipment and be executed with it. Watch the unit and if it runs consistently it somewhat is low. If there is ice everywhere it is going to not be is yet another indication that is low on Freon.
sorry i have no clue about repairing fridges but mine recently broke too! Someone came and said I needed a new one. I got a great one for an awesome price from http://www.ajmadison.com. But hope you wont need to get a new one and you can figure out how to fix it.
