Are you more likely to answer a question from someone with a male or female avatar? Why?

Does it matter to you what the avatar looks like for the questions you answer? Are you more likely to answer if it is clearly a male avatar? Or are you more likely to answer if it is a female avatar? Why?

I don't even look at the avatar until I've read the question, and sometimes not even then.

What difference could a cartoon or even a photo, make?

If the question strikes me odd in some way, I'll look at the name to see if I might be wasting my time with some jackass.

If that strikes me a certain way I'll research the profile, once again for the purpose of determining if I should spend further thought on the question.

Males use female avatars and females use male avatars so it doesn't mean much anyway.

Hope this helps.....JT

The male or femaleness of an avatar doesn't affect whether I answer the question at all. Kind of like how your blank one didn't prevent me from answering either. =)

I don't really look at the avatar. If I find a question easy to answer then I'd click on it.

I don't pay a bit of attention to the avatar.

Except in the "Dogs" section ... many users there have pictures of their dogs as their avatars.

A person's gender is not a factor in whether I choose to answer a question or not. And unless the question itself is gender-related, it would not color my perception of the question.
