Are you more likely to answer a question from someone with a male or female avatar? Why?
Does it matter to you what the avatar looks like for the questions you answer? Are you more likely to answer if it is clearly a male avatar? Or are you more likely to answer if it is a female avatar? Why?

I don't even look at the avatar until I've read the question, and sometimes not even then.
What difference could a cartoon or even a photo, make?
If the question strikes me odd in some way, I'll look at the name to see if I might be wasting my time with some jackass.
If that strikes me a certain way I'll research the profile, once again for the purpose of determining if I should spend further thought on the question.
Males use female avatars and females use male avatars so it doesn't mean much anyway.

I dnt look much at the avatar. I read the questions and the best that suits me and possible can help the user i answer. than i look at the avatar.

The male or femaleness of an avatar doesn't affect whether I answer the question at all. Kind of like how your blank one didn't prevent me from answering either. =)

I don't really look at the avatar. If I find a question easy to answer then I'd click on it.

I don't pay a bit of attention to the avatar.
Except in the "Dogs" section ... many users there have pictures of their dogs as their avatars.
A person's gender is not a factor in whether I choose to answer a question or not. And unless the question itself is gender-related, it would not color my perception of the question.
