Sweet Vermouth (red) Mixers?

I wanted to know what are some good mixers for red sweet vermouth and I dont mean like complicated cocktails which require a large number of different ingredients.

Currently im drinking ReaLemon Lemon Juice and London Sweet Vermouth at a 50 / 50 ratio. The sour is tastey and the sweetness balances it out plus the lemon is thinning out my blood making me drunk faster! :D

For a manhattan, you need whiskey, vermouth (generally white because it goes better with whiskey, but you can use red), angostura bitters and a maraschino cherry.

If you added gin, you'd have a martini. Generally this is served with an olive. Try seven parts gin to one part vermouth.

The problem is that red vermouth really doesn't taste very good by itself, whereas white does. If you can get your hands on some sherry and bitters, try mixing that with the vermouth in a 1:1:1 ratio, then add a small amount of sugar and serve on ice.

like everyone else, I pretty much know that sweet vermouth is used for Manhattans. Although I usually recommend Southern Comfort over Jack Daniels to make one.

I recommend www.webtender.com to find out what else you can make. The site allows you to list the ingredients you have available to you (both alcohol and non-alcohol components) and will give you a list of drinks from its rather large database. Check em out.

Add some Jack Daniels and a cherry and you'll have yourself a Manhattan.

It's a fortified wine, and available at any decent liquor store. Ask the clerk because it gets put in all different places. Some put it with the wines, some put it with the vodka and gin, some put it with the whiskey.
