Ideas for a pretty table?

If you decorate your T-day table, what kind of touches do you like to put on it to make it pretty?

I usually tie napkins with twine and little silk autumn leaf & acorn embellishents, and put out things like fall colored pillar candles (in glass) set inside a grapevine wreath with autumn embellishments.

I have autumn leaf cloth place mats.

I'm looking to do something different. Maybe something a little less traditional and a little more whimsical.

Ideas and links to craft projects welcome.

Thanks

Last Thanksgiving I made pumpkin soup and I poured it into a big pumpkin. That was the center piece at the table. Everyone loved it.

I couldn't find a picture of the way I did it, I carved the pumpkin so I could take the top on and off but here's a neat idea too:

Here's another cool idea for a centerpiece:

White pumpkins and baby pumpkins are very whimsical to me. :) Throw in some gold glittered leaves..maybe some pine cones...that would look very nice. :)

you could do some great stuff with cornucopias, those really small pumpkins, the corn that is very fall colored like brown as center pieces. also think about just maybe putting something as simple as some fall colored candles out. even a fall colored table cloth would add a great touch. sometimes being simple is just the right touch.
