Why did the Vikings let Darren Shaper go?

I don't understand it, he was a very good player and really did a good job for us. Help me on this. Thanks.

Yah, who wasn't watching the vikings not you, as Sharper was everywhere and if you were paying any attention you would know that, but then you weren't paying attention, or you might know more then you realize.

um because he was old. The Vikings drafted DBs to fill up the secondary. You not happy with how they are playing? The Vikings overall were just trying to get younger I guess.

You obviously didnt watch any Viking games, but the guy sucked for us, he had a pick for a td in his first game but after that he got torn up,every deep bomb was over his head, he missed every tackle

You have no idea wat your talking about, get back into the kitchen

now be honest, did you even watch over 5 Vikings games the last two years, from start to finish?

money and age..they felt that the younger guys could perform at the same level as Sharper, and it all comes down to youth and dollars.

Salary expenses, locker room conflict, contract negotiations fall through, trade requests. I'm not sure his particular story but those are common scenarios.
