So I'm trying to find a new mmo to play... Can you help me?

Question

Hi, my name is Amy, and I'm currently playing WoW.
But I can't anymore, because my computer crashed and I don't have another computer that can fit a game that big.
So I'm looking for another game that is similar to WoW, but smaller. Right now, I'm on a Windows 2000 laptop, and I've got a great internet connection. I'm not sure how much memory it has, but it's old, so I can't imagine it has very much. I've got my Windows XP upstairs, and it has more memory, but not a very good internet connection. So it's a trade-off. I'd like to play on this laptop, but I suppose I can hook up the XP if it doesn't work.
So I'm really just asking if you, Y!A community, know of any good MMO's that are smaller than WoW. I'm fine with paying $15.00 a month or less, but I need a free trial first. I'd rather not have to buy any expansions atm. 
I have around 1 1/2  experience, and I think I'm pretty adaptable, but the one game I can not figure out is EVE. Other than that, I'm open to any and all suggestions. =)

i play wow also i love the game if i was you i would just go and buy an external drive you could hook it up to your pc for more space but other then that the few i can think of off the top of my head are runescape and maple story they are about as close as you will get to WoW and they both can be played for free but maple story you can spend money for better gear and runescape can be payed for once and then you get a much bigger world.
