I was 9 and had a paper boy job standing on the corner yelling Leader, Get your Leader here. My best sale day was the day JFK was killed, I sold over 200 papers and made a nickle for each one. After I sold my papers, I walked 4 miles along the railroad tracks rain, snow, or extreme heat to my home where me and my siblings had to take care of our livestock and clean out stalls before we got to clean up for supper.
