Does anyone else think the baseball season is too long?

It starts in April, when the snow is still flying and ends now in November, when the snow starts flying.

I always viewed baseball as a summertime sport. Why do they have such a long season? I think that the World Series should be played in early to mid-September and then we can all turn our attention to football.

I would like it a lot if baseball would go back to the 154 game season. The players would be more fresher in the playoffs and possibly perform better.

Yes, especially if only 4 teams from each league get to play in the playoffs. If you're gonna have such a small playoff field (with a long schedule), then the regular season schedule should be about 16 games shorter.

I agree with Joker on this one, NHL and NFL are really boring, I only watch the NFL playoffs from time to time, but I fall asleep after watching it for an hour... MLB is probably the best sport, and should stay as it is with all the intense drama and passion.. Keep extending it if you wanna too, MLB is a great sport with unexpected surprises in the postseason making it better... It is a good sport, umpires are an issue and so are the commissioner, but it's still a great sport to watch.. It will keep ya entertained..

Yeah the regular season should be shortened and the playoffs should be extended.
