How Come When Obama Got Into Office....?

he "inherited the problems from George W. Bush". During Clinton's years of prosperity, it was "despite the policies of George H.W. Bush"?

Clinton was in office for eight years. Conservatives have been blaming Obama for *everything* since the day he took office. Don't see the difference? Guess I shouldn't be surprised.

Also, whatever else I have to say about him. George H.W. Bush was at least a competent president. Not a great president, but a competent one. He cared about policy, he cared about running the country. His son didn't care about any of that, and the mess that he left behind him is quite different from the state that George H.W. Bush left the country in when he left office.

When Bush Sr. left office the Iraq war was over but ya the economy was in bad shape which was the reason Clinton was able to win.

Clinton's praise comes the internet boom which carried the ecomony. when he left office there weren't any ongoing wars & the economy was in good shape.

We know what was going on when Obama took office.

In GWB favor lack of focus on Bin Laden by Clinton did have an effect on GWB's presidency

And George W wrecked the economy "despite the policies of Bill Clinton".

And "George W. Bush inherited Clinton's surplus and drove it into a deficit in two years."

Difference of words. I do remember people giving Bush the credit for the economic boom under Clinton. Doesn't work that way this time for them, though, does it? They only take credit for the good, never the bad.
