Systole is the amount of pressure on the vessel walls while the heart is contracting. Diastole is the amount of pressure on the walls while the heart is not contracting.

I hate to be rude but there are online dictionaries that are a lot more reliable/accurate than the answers you will get on here (I'm not saying anyone is wrong). It would've been faster to find your answer this way, too. Just a suggestion
