am I a cow at 27 weeks?

hi girls
I just came back from my doctor's appointment and she was like: wow! 20 pounds so far. well, not so far, mostly in the last 3 months... She didn't put me on a diet but she said: oh, you lost weight during your first trimester so now you are recovering that weight so 20 pounds at 27 weeks is fine. I know is a little more than normal and I admit that in the past 2 months I have been eating more but I still exercise and well, I have to deal with water retention! please girls, tell me what you really think.

I'm 5'8 and I was 136 at the beginning

actually based on your heigh and pre pregnancy weight, according to the pregnancy weight gain calculator, you are only 2 pounds over your "ideal" weight for 27 weeks. I think your doctor is crazy! I, like you, lost 5 pounds after I got pregnant, and I gained 30 so far, at 28 weeks, and my doctor is not concerned at all. I have no gestational diabetes, and my weight is all in my belly. Every woman is different. As long as you and the baby are healthy it is ok to be over or under. Your doctor sounds like a nut!

You aren't a cow. Everyone gains weight differently. I am 31weeks and I have gains 30 pounds. I start off at 105 and now I am 135. My sister in law is due a week after me and she has only gained 8 pounds.
