hi girls I just came back from my doctor's appointment and she was like: wow! 20 pounds so far. well, not so far, mostly in the last 3 months... She didn't put me on a diet but she said: oh, you lost weight during your first trimester so now you are recovering that weight so 20 pounds at 27 weeks is fine. I know is a little more than normal and I admit that in the past 2 months I have been eating more but I still exercise and well, I have to deal with water retention! please girls, tell me what you really think.
I'm 5'8 and I was 136 at the beginning

I wouldn't call you huge. A good way to gage if you're getting too big. Put on a pair of your pre-pregnancy jeans. Of course you won't be able to do em up, but you should be able to pull em up all the way. That's how I judged. I though I looked outrageously big and swore I was just getting fatter. I didn't have any real water retention though. As long as the jeans you try on aren't skin tight you should be good. No worries. You'll be a hot mama after you have the baby.
Wow, I wish I had only gained 20 pounds at 27 weeks! You are not short either, and you started at a normal weight for your frame. I am 37 weeks and so far have gained 38-40 pounds, and I started at 144 and I am 5'6. I expect to gain several more pounds as my hunger is back up due to elevated estrogen levels at this point in my pregnancy, so I might end up with 40-45 total gain. My midwife has not been concerned as I do not look like a whale and am healthy, I just have a really big belly! Plus I know a lot of the weight is fluid and retention. As long as you eat healthy and exercising, don't worry, you are pregnant, so don't let anyone make you feel bad about eating when you want to !
Your not big at all. I am only 20 weeks along and gained almost 15 pounds. Since your height is 5'8 and technically your on the lower side of what your weight should be your body will compensate during your pregnancy. You are on the smaller side still remember the average weight gain for a pregnancy is anywhere from 35 pounds to 40 pounds.
Genetics of Gonorrhea:Gonorrhea is NOT a genetic disease. Gonorrhea is an infectious disease. In general, an infectious disease can be caused by a pathogenic organism (viruses, bacteria, fungi, worms, parasites) that can invade the body and cause infection. Some infectious diseases can be contagious between people while others are acquired from the person's surroundings but are not spread from one person to another. Gonorrhea is spread by vaginal and anal intercourse and oral sex. Gonorrhea can also be passed from a woman to her fetus during birth. It is not passed through casual contact. So this is what I found on the subject and your boyfriends father could NOT have passed it onto him. Impossible! He is more than likely cheating. Hate to say it, but you have to accept that it is more than likely the case. I would drive the 50 mins. or look for a different roomate closer to varsity. I would not move in with him, heck I don't even think I would stay in a relationship with him. Your choice though. Anything can be forgiven if he's willing to change, and you are really in love with him, then try to make it work, otherwise I would call it quits.
We are very similar as I am 5'7" weighed 135 in the beginning, exercise daily and at my 27 week appointment a couple weeks ago I gained 19 pounds. My doctor said it was perfect and that I was doing really well. Don't worry about it just keep up the exercise and eat well but you don't have to be perfect all the time :).
