How do I get my Lexmark printer to work again?

I have a Lexmark X1185 All-in-One printer. Yesterday, I installed a new color cartridge. I was in a hurry, so did not follow through with the part when they ask you what you installed, if it is old or new, and to print an alignment page...yes, stupid, I know that now. Anyway, now it refuses to print at all. Things are going into the que, but that is as far as it goes. Can anyone tell me what I can try to fix things? I have already tried restarting & disconnecting/reconnecting cables. Thanks for any help.

Have you tried reinstalling the drivers? If you have the original software CD that came with the printer, you can try that. It will take you thru the process from the start. You can also take out the ink cartridge and reinstall it. That might prompt the computer to take you thru the installment again. Also try the Lexmark website for tech support. Good luck.

(nice to see u posting) ;)

When you go through the manual where it says replacing consumables or replacing toner cartridge it will explain how its done so just reinstall them cartridges correctly this time.
