Laminate flooring vs dog urine?
we had our carpet taken out and Armstrong laminate flooring put down.
There were two tiny areas on the corner of a few of the slats that looked defective, starting to peel up. we pointed it out to the installer (he was already finished) and he said it would be a major job to re-do those slats since he'd have to remove all previous slats.
Since then, (we have dogs) we've had several places where dogs have peed on the corners of dressers and the slats are totally warping or peeling.
I DO mop my floors daily - sometimes twice but until I move the heavy furniture, I don't see the pee that's underneath.
Then where our living room and dining room divides, if my husband is walking on it, the one entire laminate slat sags about 1/8 inch!
How much moisture can laminate withstand if properly installed? I know for a fact this installer doe NOT use enough glue.
can these damaged sections be removed and replaced?
