Question for middle-aged men. Would you have kids later in life?

If you are 40+ (or even late 30s), would you have children at that age? For example if you were single and you met a younger woman and you fell in love. Would you have children with her? Why or why not?
Thanks for the answers!

No It's not fair to me, bones are creaking, late hours, weird schedules, etc... More importantly I feel as though it's unfair to the child. You should be able to keep pace or out pace them. My parents were good catholics, ie; no birth control. they had my little sis at the age of 45. that's almost a double generation gap. they were disconnected as far as ideals and actions. I just don't think it's fair or right for either parent or child with that big of an age gap

I'm 48 and had my last child 6 years ago. I do not regret it one bit.
The fact that I have 2 children from a previous relationship and 3 with my wife...I wouldn't be having anymore kids if I met someone else. If, however, I didn't have children and then met someone else, even today, I would most certainly be willing as long as my wife was under 40 (due to health risks for her and the child).

I'm 37 and my children are 19, 12, and 2 years old... I think that raising children is easier when you're younger, but I don't mind having the two year old, she helps me feel younger. However, I don't really want any more children, I think that three is enough.

Absolutely, I would have kids all the way up to my mid-40's. After that, it's tricky - the kids will graduate near your retirement age, would you be able to keep up with them? What about grandkids? etc.

But yes, I'd have kids up to my mid 40's.
