USAID says donated mother's milk is unsafe for Haitians. Shouldn't the Haitians decide?

So 140 bottles of mother's milk made it to Haiti, only to have USAID say it can't be put to use. The newly-orphaned newborns found amid the rubble will get none, because WE say it's unsafe to use donated mother's milk to help them. At what point do the Haitians get a say in the matter?

Good point. I rather them have questionable milk then starve, and we all know the consequences for that is. Hmmm...

140 bottles of mothers milk is the equvalent of 140 bottles of water.

Is this really and issue? I don't want resources used fro testing this tiny amount of mothers milk.

I am sure it was well intentioned, but not worth the risk.
