I was looking forward to Spider-Man 4 until they cancelled it and instead decided to make a reboot which will be released in 2012.
I dunno about you, but I think it is going to be pretty lame, considering the film series are awesome. Tobey Maguire really suited the role and he's a great actor.
But the reboot is going to focus more into Parker's study at high school i.e. a film aimed at teens. I'll be 18 when it releases so I might not be into it.
I dunno man, it's just my guess really. Gimme some ideas; I need your views!

I think it's gonna suck, honestly. They just need to quit making so many sequels to movies about super heroes. I mean, it's one thing to make it with super heroes and having them fight, but watching them at school?! That's just wrong! They need to stop with what they have.
As much as I enjoyed the first Spider-Man movie and even the second, I found the third to be a complete waste of my time and money. While I really enjoyed all of the actors and will be sad to see that change up, I'm not too worried about a reboot. My only real concern is that they're doing it too soon. In my opinion a reboot is something you do like a decade later. Now all of a sudden they're rebooting Spider-Man, and Superman and half a dozen other franchises. What, are they going to reboot Harry Potter as soon as Deathly Hollows Pt. 2 is out? Would they just give it a break for a while... oh yeah, that's right, if Fox doesn't keep churning out movies based on Marvel comics they'll lose their right to. Too bad it isn't like they have ten other movies (from Marvel) lined up already 0_o
Sorry, someone pushed my sarcasm/snarky button in the middle of that.
I like Maguire, Dunst and Franco and I think they should leave a very successful franchise alone. Raimi tried to cram too much into number 3 but number 4 could have been like the 2nd one. I am getting of an age where I don't want to see new actors in my favorite movies.
i dont like the idea ethier i know the 3rd movie was not that great but the first was good and i thought the 2nd was fantastic i would rank it to be 1 of the best superhero series of all time i thought the characters were perfect and just cause the 3rd one sucked does not make the whole thing bad i dont think sony cancelled the seriese because it was bad but because they did not like the director sam rami's idea of having 1 villan in the 4th and i think that is Sony's loss
initially it develop into meant to be a Spiderman 4-6 yet SONY and Sam Ramni couldnt agree on the way it develop into to be finished. Sam Ramni pulled out and so did the solid. SONY swore they'd do 3 extra with or without them So we are going to probbaly have 3 extra.
